Project Description: The Calgary Police Service has incorporated Augmented Reality (AR) murals into their “Sacred Space” at headquarters, a sanctuary designed for trauma victims. In this safe environment, artist Kalum Teke Dan painted a full-wall mural featuring three distinct elements, each animated uniquely to enhance the viewer’s experience. One highlight is the “Smudging Mural,” where an Indigenous warrior shares the sacred smudging practice. Collaborating with a 3D Generalist, we created and choreographed animated models using a smoke ball particle effect, bringing this powerful cultural narrative to life.
